Casting Nets Ministries is coming to Malvern this summer to offer a dynamic and highly engaging retreat experience and training for pastors, pastoral teams, parish staff, lay leaders, DRE’s, and catechists centered on missionary discipleship and training for effective evangelization.
In this one-of-a-kind retreat/training you will learn the fundamental principles for effective evangelization as well as the practical skills, techniques, and strategies for making disciples who make disciples, thereby creating a culture of mission and evangelization in your parish!
This retreat/training will be facilitated by renowned Catholic authors and evangelists Chris Stewart, Tony Brandt, and Hector Molina of Casting Nets Ministries, a 501(c)3 non profit lay apostolate whose mission is to inspire and equip Catholics to better know, live, and share their faith and assist parishes in forming their parishioners for missionary discipleship and evangelization.
Since its founding over 10 years ago, Casting Nets has served hundreds of parishes throughout the United States through their dynamic and highly effective parish missions, retreats, evangelization trainings, and pastoral consulting services. With their combined six decades of experience in ministry, Chris, Tony, and Hector draw on a wealth of experience and practical wisdom that they offer to parishes that are serious about becoming genuine places of encounter and schools of missionary discipleship.

Chris Stewart is a lay Catholic evangelist, Chief Operations Officer and co-founder of Casting Nets Ministries, a nonprofit evangelization apostolate dedicated to equipping Catholics for the New Evangelization, He is the co-author of “Casting Nets: Grow your faith by sharing your faith” (OSV 2015). . He has been a youth minister, a junior high religion teacher, and a high school and college theology professor. He is the co-founder of “The Knights of the Holy Queen – Wichita,” a young men’s group that has consecrated over 200 men to Jesus Christ through the Blessed Virgin Mary. Chris earned a master’s degree in theological studies from Ave Maria University in Florida, and is a frequent presenter at parish missions, retreats, and Diocesan conferences throughout the United States. Chris and his wife, Maria, have seven beautiful children and live in Wichita, KS.
Tony Brandt is a lay Catholic evangelist, President and co-founder of Casting Nets Ministries, a nonprofit evangelization apostolate dedicated to equipping Catholics for the New Evangelization. He is the co-author of “Casting Nets: Grow your faith by sharing your faith” (OSV 2015). He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Philosophy and Youth Ministry at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. He is the co-founder of “The Knights of the Holy Queen – Wichita,” a young men’s group that has consecrated over 200 men to Jesus Christ through the Blessed Virgin Mary. Tony has experience in youth and young adult ministry and taught theology for fifteen years at Bishop Carroll and Kapaun Mt. Carmel Catholic High Schools. He is a frequent presenter at parish missions, retreats, and Diocesan conferences throughout the United States. Tony and his wife, Kelly, have seven beautiful children and live in Wichita, KS.
Hector Molina is lay Catholic evangelist and CEO of Casting Nets Ministries, a nonprofit evangelization apostolate dedicated to equipping Catholics for the New Evangelization. He is one of the most dynamic and sought-after bilingual Catholic speakers and evangelists in the country, having proclaimed the gospel of Jesus Christ and the teaching of the Catholic Church to hundreds of thousands at Parish Missions, Retreats, and Conferences the world over for more than 25 years. Hector has served the Church in several capacities over his lengthy ministerial career – as Pastoral Associate in his home Diocese of Brooklyn & Queens, as Director the Office of Hispanic Ministry and founding Director of the Office for the New Evangelization for the St. Louis Archdiocese, as well as an apologist and speaker for Catholic Answers. He and his wife, Uki, have six children and live in St. Louis, MO.
