A day of reflection for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one. This retreat will offer hope and healing as we continue our journey in life. Retreat Director Catherine Frompovich is returning to Malvern Retreat House to again offer her inspiring talks on handling grief.
Retreat Director: Catherine J. Frompovich
Catherine Frompovich has been a widow since August 27, 2005 and wrote a book about the journey a bereaved spouse embarks upon and travels during grieving the loss of his or her spouse. The book is Lord, How Can I Make It Through Grieving My Loss.
Catherine came to the realization of what she calls “Obedience of the Mind: Let go; let God.” She shares how her faith and trust that she would overcome grief with God’s help made all the difference in coping with and managing grief.
Now retired, Catherine enjoyed an exciting career as a consumer health researcher, practicing nutrition consultant, and health rights advocate since the late 1970’s. She was in the vanguard of the health and wellness movement based on holistic health principles; natural nutritious foods and diet; complementary and alternative medicine; and the wisdom of health and healing as passed down through the ages from various cultures. As a result of a holistic persuasion and her life’s work, she authored numerous books regarding consumer health issues. Catherine’s latest book is Eat to Beat Disease, Foods Medicinal Qualities, which was published in July of 2016.
