MRH Annual Report
June 13, 2024
Prosit!
If you know, you know. “Prosit” is a time-honored Malvern greeting of good will. The 2023 Annual Report represents a year of “good will” shown to Malvern.
A few weeks back, Malvern Retreat House distributed the 2023 Annual Report to board members, donors and retreatants. The beautiful magazine captured the essence of one of Malvern’s most successful years ever.
Malvern Retreat House, the nation’s oldest and largest Catholic lay retreat organization, first began hosting retreats over 100 years ago. Malvern has grown, expanded, and changed with the times. Over 1 million men, women and Catholic youth have retreated from the noise of life to hear God’s voice on our sacred grounds.
Malvern Retreat House is thriving! Recently, a former board member said, “Malvern is in the best financial position it’s been in for over a decade!” He was reflecting on the truly miraculous journey Malvern made through COVID 19 to emerge stronger than ever.
Revenue growth and retreat numbers were only part of last year’s unprecedented success. In 2023, marked the official opening of the Blessed Carlo Acutis Shrine and permanent exhibit to Eucharistic Miracles. Malvern was blessed to host Mrs. Acutis for the dedication. This incredible honor was the capstone event for Malvern and will long be remembered by our retreat community.
The Annual Report, available here, reflects God’s great blessings on Malvern Retreat House. Please take some time to review the financials. But we invite you to spend more time reading the personal testimonials at the heart of our Annual Report. Men and women who have had strengthened their relationship with Christ through Malvern Retreat House share their personal witness. Their stories are compelling and inspiring.
Malvern Retreat House is an oasis in the chaos of life. Through God’s grace, we have helped countless men and women strengthen their faith in Christ. These men and women are transformed. They leave Malvern as redoubled in their faith in Christ and committed to live as Christians. We provide retreats for men and women in recovery, married couples in crisis, Catholic youth and young adults and anyone seeking to retreat from the noise to hear God’s voice. But we cannot do this without the dedication of our Traditional Men and Women of Malvern who are at the core of our mission. Moreover, our generous benefactors help us maintain our sacred grounds and offset the costs to keep retreats affordable.
Thank you for spending some time with our Annual Report. We invite you to join our mission. Click here if you are able to make a small donation to help Malvern remain a thriving organization dedicated to bringing people to God.
