Michelle Francl-Donnay is a Catholic writer, teacher, wife, and the mother of two college-aged sons. She has been a cantor and altar server and regularly joins the Augustinian community at Our Mother of Good Counsel to celebrate the Liturgy of the Hours. Michelle also is a professor of chemistry at Bryn Mawr College, where she teaches and does research on molecules, and she is an Adjunct Scholar of the Vatican Observatory in Rome.
Michelle’s column, Catholic Spirituality, appears at the Philadelphia Archdiocese’s news site, CatholicPhilly.com, and her reflections on struggling to live a contemplative life in the midst of the everyday chaos can be found in a number of print and online venues, including Loyola Press’ DotMagis and in Liturgical Press’ Give Us This Day. She periodically directs retreats and also blogs on life, prayer and God at the blogspot Quantum Theology.
