Support Malvern Retreat House’s Efforts to Serve the Homeless
October 16, 2024
At Malvern Retreat House, we are committed to serving those in need. As part of this mission, we’ve been collecting new socks, underwear, travel-sized toiletries, and feminine hygiene products for St. John’s Hospice, Mercy Hospice, and Joseph’s House of Camden. Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our retreatants and staff, we’ve already collected over 200 lbs of essential items for the poor and homeless in our community!
Our heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who has contributed to this important cause. Your kindness is making a real difference in the lives of those in need.
In addition to our collection drive, Malvern Cares is a vital fundraising initiative that supports retreat programs for men and women transitioning from homelessness. The Dorothy Day Retreat and the Peter Maurin Retreat provide an opportunity for individuals from St. John’s Hospice, Mercy Hospice, Bethesda Project, and Joseph’s House to step away from their daily struggles and experience spiritual renewal on our beautiful retreat grounds.
Through your generous donations, Malvern Retreat House can offer these retreats at little to no cost, providing a space where participants can find peace, healing, and a deeper connection to God.
Our collection drive is just one more way that Malvern cares about giving back to those in need. We plan to continue collecting items for the homeless through the winter. If you’d like to contribute, please drop off items in our dining room. To further support the Malvern Cares fund and help provide life-changing retreat experiences for men and women transitioning from homelessness, please consider donating.
Together, we can continue to make a difference. Click here to donate and help us extend the gift of retreat to those who need it most.
